The Orfeó Català is a choir with a symphonic format. Its concert activity alternates performance of vocal-orchestral repertoires and programmes of choral music with a considerable amount of traditional music and pieces by Catalan authors. 

The high standard of its members' vocal and musical training who, while they are not professionals, have singing training, make the Orfeó Català an ideal instrument for performing the choral literature composed from the 18th century to the present day. 

The artistic qualities of this choir mean that it works regularly with the top Catalan and Spanish orchestras, as well as with various others from Europe and elsewhere in the world, with whom it goes on concert tours.
